ROBERT GROCHOWSKI
President and CEO
In search of the American Dream, Robert arrived in New York from Poland in the late 1980s, where he began his career in construction, working on high-rise building projects. Later, Robert moved to Florida to work for Western Waterproofing Company of America. In the early 1990s, during the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew, Robert leveraged his skills and experience by leading a team of workers to help the South Florida community rebuild their damaged homes. His strong work ethic and expertise in this capacity allowed him to initiate a partnership with his brother-in-law, which led to the introduction of Robmar Waterproofing. Together, the two further developed the company by winning and delivering on hundreds of projects from West Palm Beach to Miami-Dade specializing on high rise construction. After 19 years together, Robert decided to focus his expertise on concrete restoration and founded his own company, Robmar Restoration. Although Robmar Restoration is a relatively new company, Robert brings over 20 years of cumulative experience as a General Contractor and 30 years’ experience in the field of construction with a wide variety of project types. His honest, generous and caring approach towards everyone has earned him a respectable reputation amongst his employees, business partners, and clients.
MONIKA GROCHOWSKI
Vice President and COO
Monika met Robert in 1992. Since then, Monika is not only the bedrock of Robert’s personal strength and support, but her leadership, management and vision have also enabled Robmar Restoration to have the proper operational controls and administrative and reporting procedures. Over the years she has successfully executed on her vision for the company’s growth, financial strength and operational efficiency. Monika is a key member of the senior management team and has established policies that promote company culture and vision through its operations. Monika has been instrumental in helping Robert pursue his dream, by shaping the company into what it is today.
CHRISTIAN GROCHOWSKI
Strategic Advisor to the CEO
Christian, son of Monika and Robert is a pilot for the United States Air Force. In pursuit of his dream to fly, Christian recently completed Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training at Laughlin Air Force Base in Texas flying the T-6 and T-38. He currently resides at Little Rock Air Force Base in Arkansas where he is training to become a C-130J pilot for the 61st Airlift Squadron. His missions will range from providing humanitarian relief to victims of disasters to airdropping troops/cargo into hostile areas. Over the years, Christian has placed his mark on the family business by providing strategic guidance to the senior management team.
STEVE HUMENYI
Director, Sales and Marketing
Born in New York City, Steve and his family relocated to Ft Lauderdale in 1978. In 1980 he enlisted in the US Marine Corps and spent the next 4 years in SE Asia aboard various Amphibious Assault Ships. After receiving an Honorable Discharge with the rank of Sargent in 1984, Steve gave 2 more years to his country in the Marine Corps Reserves as a Squad Leader. Steve began his professional career in the Commercial Paint, Waterproofing and Concrete industry in 1986. He passed the GITS Painting Unlimited Contractor exam, got his License, founded his own company and began serving the communities of South Florida. In 1993 he acquired a position at a Commercial Construction company as a Salesman, but quickly rose through the ranks in just two years. He became Vice President and was given part ownership of the company. He managed a Sales team who closed $10M in new business each year, was also responsible for Sales Operations, Marketing, Corporate P & L, New Business Development, Quality Control and Client Relationship Management. In 1995 Steve met Robert Grochowski. Robert was so impressed with Steve’s passion, tenacity and experience that he asked him to join the Robmar family. For nearly 25 years, Steve’s contributions to the company have been invaluable. His deep industry expertise, honesty, resiliency and ability to listen and empathize have enabled Robmar to rise above the competition and deliver an outstanding client experience. Steve has been serving the South Florida community for 40 years in Commercial Concrete Restoration, Waterproofing and Painting.
JONATHAN HUMENYI
Field Supervisor
Born and raised in south Florida, Jonathan attended Cardinal Gibbons High School in Ft Lauderdale. After graduation, he attended Valencia College in Orlando with a major in Marketing. Following in the successful footsteps of his father Steve Humenyi, he joined the team at Robmar Restoration in 2015. Since then, he’s been responsible for the success of our projects from start to finish. Jonathan ensures that our project teams complete their objectives on schedule and within scope and budget, working toward high efficiencies and flawless execution.
