Robmar Restoration has been family-owned and family-run since 1997. Here's who we are and how we got here.
Robert Grochowski came to the U.S. from Poland in the late 1980s and went straight to work in construction. When Hurricane Andrew tore through South Florida in 1992, he led a team of workers helping the community rebuild — and spent the years that followed mastering waterproofing on commercial buildings.
In 1997, after nearly two decades in the trades, Robert and his brother-in-law Marcin founded Robmar Restoration. What started as a subcontracting operation grew into a full-service general contractor handling concrete restoration, waterproofing and painting for condominium towers and commercial properties across South Florida.
Today the company is still run the same way it was founded: by family, on the belief that if you do the work right and communicate honestly, clients come back. Most of ours do.

Meet Robert, our President and founder. For over 30 years he has shaped South Florida construction, starting on the front lines of the Hurricane Andrew rebuild in 1992. He began in waterproofing and built that expertise into Robmar Restoration in 1997; under his leadership, the company has evolved into a trusted establishment in restoration.
Meet Monika, our Vice President and Chief of Operations. She oversees all company operations and financial management, and she directs our overall growth strategy. Under her management, Robmar Restoration has become the company it is today.
Steve brings 40 years of experience in South Florida commercial construction. A U.S. Marine veteran, he has been a trusted leader in the industry since 1986 and has led Robmar Restoration's sales efforts since 1995. He remains the primary contact for many of the company's clients and is known for building lasting relationships founded on experience, integrity, and quality work.
A South Florida native and Cardinal Gibbons High School graduate, Jon earned his Business Marketing degree from Valencia College before joining Robmar in 2015. As a Project Manager, he brings over a decade of construction experience, with a focus on project coordination, client relationships, and delivering quality results from start to finish.
Lea oversees office operations and ensures daily workflows run efficiently for both clients and field crews. She studied Pre-Law at Malcolm X College in Chicago, Illinois and Business Administration at Kaplan University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. With ten years of experience in property management, Lea brings strong organizational leadership to her role and has found her professional home at Robmar Restoration.
